  • 2019 NCAA National Gymnastics Championships will be held in Ft. Worth Texas this year on April 19th & 20th. This will be an awesome opportunity for your kids to see world class gymnast up close and personal. We are selling discounted tickets through the office just let me know how many you will need and for what session and we can get them ordered. The Friday sessions are at 12:00pm and at 6:00pm and are $15 per ticket the Finals are at 6:00pm on Saturday and are $20 per ticket. Friday, April 12th is the last day to get them ordered.

  • There will be NO GYM classes on Friday April 19th or Saturday, April 20th. The gym will be closed for NCAA National Championships as all our staff will be working out in Ft. Worth for the weekend. Stop by the office to schedule a make-up class for those days.

  • We are so excited about our Spring Showcase coming up in 6 weeks. Our Hawaiian themed Showcase will be Saturday, May 18th.  We will have the classes broken up into Sessions and our “Save the Date Cards” will be going out in the next few weeks to let you all know exactly what session your children will be in. The cost for the showcase will be $25 and that fee will be charged to your account on Tuesday, May 1st with your May tuition. If you do not want your child to participate in the showcase you will have until April 29th to stop by the office and sign the non-participation form, otherwise we are going to plan for all students to participate and your account will be charged. The kids have been working really hard learning skills and routines and we want to showcase their success in front of all their family. The kids will be receiving certificates, medals and we will have a reception after with light refreshments! Bring your cameras, come early, and watch proudly as your gymnast performs on all the different events! Please make sure the girls have their hair up, a leotard on without a skirt; boys need to be wearing their Irving Gymnastics t-shirt with black or red shorts. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to get a good spot!  There will be a cash only fee of $1 per person at the door – gymnasts will not be charged at the door. A FAQ will be sent out closer to the Showcase date to hopefully answer any questions you may have. But as always, feel free to email the office with any questions.

  • Tryouts for our upcoming 2018 Gymnastics Team will be on Sunday, May 19th from 4:30-7:30pm. Tryouts are for any child who is currently enrolled in our program that is not already on our team. The girls will need to be dressed in a leotard with their hair securely pulled out of their face and have a water bottle with them. Students do not have to be in our current Pre Team class to try out. No parents will be allowed in the gym during tryouts. Please note that not every child that tries out will make the team. If they do not make the team this year they can stay in class and work hard and tryout again next year. There will be many factors that go into our decision as to who makes the team. It will not only be based on skill, but attitude, motivation, and willingness to learn will play a big part in our decision. We will have an informative meeting about team on Wednesday, May 15th @ 7:00 pm in the gym. If your child is planning on trying out for team it will be mandatory for you to attend. A skill sheet can be picked up in the office so you can see the skills we will be looking for but remember that skills should only be practiced during gymnastic classes.

  • SUMMER CAMP info will be out on April 22nd and enrollment will begin on April 29th. Be on the look-out for all the fun information!

  • There will not be a Super Saturday this month as it falls on the NCAA weekend and we will be closed.

  • Join us for “Pop Time” our Preschool Open Play on April 27th from 4:00-6:00pm. This will be for children 5 and under and for only $10 they can come explorer, play, swing and have an awesome time. We will have snacks and a fun craft your kids will not want to miss it. If you have a toddler in diapers a parent must stay with them but otherwise you can drop your kids off for a couple hours of pure fun. You can sign-up online @ irvinggymnastics.net.

 Important reminders:
While your child in is gymnastics class please let our coaches do the coaching. Do not try to coach your child from the bleachers or try to get their attention. It can be very dangerous to them.

We have plenty of seating please make sure you are using it and not standing in the aisles or right in front of the curtains. We have had several complaints from parents not being able to get to the bathrooms or to the dance rooms due to so many people standing in the hallway>

Remember there is NO flash photography or videoing while your kids are in gym class. You can video or take pictures after class and of only your child.

If you have any questions please let me know.
