December Gym News
Posted by IGA – December 04, 2017
From all of the staff at IGA we hope you and your families have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Holiday Closures – The gym will be closed for the Recreational classes from December 25th – January 1st. IGA Classes will resume on Tuesday, January 2nd. There will be no make-up classes granted for the holiday or a reduction of tuition.
Super Saturday - This year we will have the IGA Christmas Party on Saturday, December 9th. The party will be from 6:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m. All gymnasts are encouraged to attend. There is no “fee” for the party but to attend you MUST bring a donated item to attend. This year The Genesis Women’s Shelter is in need of 200 pair of Ladies Rubber Soled Slippers. You can find these at Walmart, Target, the Dollar Store, Old Navy, Ross, DSW and Kohls just to name a few. Prices range from $5 to $20.
We are doing the sock exchange again this year, so if you plan on attending you MUST bring a pair of socks. They can be socks of any kind…Christmas, silly, or colorful socks. There are tons of cute Christmas socks at Target and Wal-Mart right now that would be great. They do need to be in children’s sizes. Please make sure they are wrapped or in a bag so they can be unwrapped. At the party, we will provide dinner and dessert. This will be a fun evening; your children will not want to miss it! You MUST sign up for this event in advance even though it is FREE. I need to know how many children will be attending, so we can arrange food and beverages accordingly. Sign-up sheet is outside of the office.
Contacting the office: Parents, please keep in mind the office hours are 5:30pm-8:30pm, Monday-Friday and Saturday mornings from 9:30-12:00pm . If you would like to schedule a makeup, it must be done 24 hours before the class.
Tuition: Beginning February 1st, Recreational Gymnastics tuition will be raised $5. This also includes our Birthday Parties, Super Saturdays, & Summer Camps.
Dates to remember:
December 7th – No gym due to high school meet
December 9th- Makeup day for Thursday December 7th
December 9th – Super Saturday; Tacky Christmas
December 25th – January 1st – Gym closed for holiday
I would also like to give a big thank you to all of the parents/guardians who have continued to be patient with us as we transition the classes these next few weeks. Changes can be hard and these situations can be very tough on the students, staff and families but it is because of your support that we continue to have a great program. We hope you and your families have a wonderful and blessed end of the year.
-Mrs. Shelly and the IGA staff
