Healthy Gymnastics Tips

Here are a few healthy tips to make for a better gymnastics practice...
 

1. Wait until after practice for dinner; a full meal beforehand weighs your gymnast down and hinders his/her movement

2. Give your child a healthy snack before practice. Examples: fruit, trail mix, carrot sticks, peanut butter crackers, or applesauce

3. Avoid soda before practice; the carbonation can cause discomfort while working out

4. Encourage your child to drink plenty of water throughout the day and after practice to stay hydrated and healthy
