Spring Break – IGA WILL BE OPEN NEXT WEEK FOR SPRING BREAK. We will be holding regular class schedules so please plan accordingly. Remember, make ups are not required nor are they promised due to class room availability. Classes are filling up which means makeup classes are not always available.
Spring Break Camp-will begin on Monday, March 11th and will run through Friday March 15th. Camp is from 7:30-5:30 pm and is $145 for the 1st student and $195 for the 2nd Student. We provide 2 snacks during the day, but you will need to bring a sack lunch. We do not allow any Peanut products so please plan accordingly. We only have a few spots available so please get signed up as soon as you can!
2019 NCAA College Gymnastics Tickets – This year’s NCAA Championships will be in Ft. Worth at the Convention Center April 19 & 20th. Tickets will go on sale on March 18th and we will have exclusive access to get tickets at a discounted rate. This will be an awesome event for your kids to go to as they will be able to see college gymnastics up close. You can sign up in the office for these tickets and we will buy them all together so we can all sit together.
Hula Fest – We will be hosting our very first gymnastics meet on March 30 & 31. We will host over 550 kids from 28 different gyms and over 1000 spectators during the weekend. We will have session times available soon so you can bring your children to watch if they would like. We will even have some volunteer spots available as it will take an army to pull this off. I will be sending that link out soon if any of you are interested. We will be closed the week of March 25-29 to get the gym ready. There will not be any classes this week as this will be our “spring break”. If you have any questions, please let us know.
Hair – Please make sure your child has their hair pulled back out of their face when they come to gymnastics. Pigtails seem to work best to keep all the little hairs out of their face. It is a big safety hazard not to have their hair pulled out of their face. I realize some of you come straight from work but please try to get their hair pulled up. I do keep a stock of ponytail holders in the office for those emergencies but please be mindful because we are going through about 100 a month. Donations for these are always nice!!
Picking-up – Please make sure if you drop your child off for gymnastics that you are here to pick them up as soon as the class is over. We have had recently some children here up to 20 minutes after their class has finished. We CANNOT be responsible for your child once the class is over because the next classes begin immediately. There will be a late fee of $15 dollars added to your account if you are more than 15 minutes late. If your child is left more than 25 minutes after class, we will be required to call the Irving Police Department. Note: Preschool parents are required to stay during class in case of bathroom breaks or other emergencies.
Please let us know if you have any questions, comment or concerns.
Sincerely, Mrs. Shelly & The Irving Gymnastics Staff
