With over 75 years gymnastics experience between all of our coaches, Irving Gymnastics staff has a lot to offer! We love what we do, and we love sharing our lives in this special way. Here is a little about our staff so you can get to know us better.
Shelly Patrick developed a love for gymnastics at a very early age. She has been involved with the sport in some way or another for over 35 years. With a love for life and a love for kids, she makes Irving Gymnastics a special place for each child. Not only does your child leave each class more confident in her abilities in gymnastics, but Shelly also makes sure each one knows how truly special they are. In her 25 years of coaching Shelly holds several professional certifications, including Kinder Accreditation for Teachers (KAT), Pre-School Fundamentals 1 and 2, Fundamentals of Gymnastics, and Hands-On Spotting for School Age. Shelly is a USA Gymnastics Professional member in Men's and Women's artistic disciplines and holds numerous safety certifications including a USA Gymnastics Safety Certification, USA Gymnastics First Aid Basics, Red Cross First Aid and Adult/Child/Infant CPR. She is also a certified Recreational Program Director and Business Executive through USA Gymnastics. Shelly became the Director of IGA in October of 2006 and has worked very hard to make Irving Gymnastics a successful gymnastics program.

Jennifer is our preschool coach with experience in cheerleading and dance. She took her first dance class at the age of 3 and has had a form of dance in her life ever since. Jenn's favorite part of coaching is seeing a child learn or grasp a skill they were struggling with before and jumping for joy with them. In her spare time, Jenn can be caught reading a good book. Hannah is currently finishing up her Senior year of High School where she was a HS gymnast for the last 3 years as well as having 10 years in Cheer. Hannah is excited to be working with our Hotshots this year as she loves seeing them succeed in getting new skills. Hannah has completed her Certification through the Gymnastics Association of Texas in Preschool. She spends her free time with her family and friends and shopping.
Rec Coach / Team Coordinator
Terah has 3 years of experience coaching gymnastics. She was not a gymnast, but was an athlete competing in fast pitch softball for 14 years. Her favorite part about coaching gymnastics is watching each athlete develop a love and relationship with a sport that requires a physical and mental capacity like no other sport. She has a passion for focusing on the whole athlete: mind, body, and spirit. Her philosophy is, “You are good at what you love doing.” She would like all of her students to love gymnastics. Outside of Irving Gymnastics, Terah spends time with family. She is married and has two daughters who keep her very busy. She enjoys indoor and outdoor cycling in her free time. Also, she is a Certified Personal Trainer, Youth Exercise Specialist, and Fitness Nutrition Specialist with NASM. She also holds a CPR/AED/First Aid certification with the American Heart Association and is Certified through the Gymnastics Association of Texas in Levels 1-3. Stop by the meet Coach Terah!
Coach Breean loves working at Irving Gymnastics as she enjoys teaching and seeing the kids progress. Breean is beginning her third coaching year and has completed her Levels 1-3 Certification from the Gymnastics Association of Texas and she is also CPR/First aid certified. Breean is currently persuing a Major in Nursing along with a Psychology Minor at TWU. On her off time she like to hang out with her friends & family and loves to go country western dancing.

Coach Claudia has been coaching with Irving Gymnastics for little over a year now. She has experience in gymnastics and tumbling. Her favorite part about coaching is seeing her athletes excited about mastering a new skill. She has completed her Levels 1-3 Certification from the Gymnastics Association of Texas and is CPR/First Aid certified. Claudia has always had a passion for teaching, She is currently studying Education at the University of Texas at Arlington to become a teacher. During her time off Claudia loves to sleep and karaoke with her friends.

Coach Ana has been involved in gymnastics for 13 years. She started in junior high and continued all throughout high school competing at Euless Trinity up to level 6. Her coaching career started at the age of 16 at HEB Gymnastics where she fell in love with coaching levels 1-3. Ana feels very blessed to be working in a fun and caring environment like Irving Gymnastics. Getting to see kids smiles and confident levels go up after achieving a skill is what she enjoys the most out of teaching. Ana has completed her Certification Levels 1-3 from the Gymnastics Association of Texas, and is CPR/First Aid certified. Aside from coaching, she is working towards becoming a firefighter. On her spare time Ana loves to volunteer in the community and spend time with family. Come on in and say hello to coach Ana!
Between coaching and competing his self; Coach Cristian has 19 years of experience. He competed levels 4, 5, 6, 7, and elite. In his free time he like to spend it hanging out and having a good time with family and friends. His favorite part of being a coach is watching the kids learn, grow, and compete the sport he loves. Fun fact about Coach Cristian is that he was a international judge also a serial prankster and jokester. The relationships with the other coaches is what Cristian loves the most about working at Irving Gymnastics. Swing by to meet and greet with Coach Cristian!
Aesha competed up to level 3 in gymnastics. After level 3 she switched focus over to cheer. She was a varsity cheerleader 3 years in a row and competed 2 years on a level 5 competition cheer team. She has 14 years experience cheer and dance experience, 6 years coaching experience, and 5 years of gymnatics experince. Aesha is a DCC National Champion. Got a full ride scholarship to West Virgina University, has travled to Austria to cheer at the United World Games, and is a 3 time NCA (Nation Cheer Association) all-star cheerleader. She is certified in CPR, first-aid, and GAT (Gymnastics Association of Texas) levels 1-3. Her favorite part about being a coach is sharing her passion of the sport with the kids and watching them grow to achieve their goals. In her free time Aesha likes to spend time with her family and working out. Bringing the kids to love the sport she loves is her favorite part of working for Irving Gymnastics. Working in a fun environment and with great people is what Allison likes most about working for Irving Gymnastics. She has 5 years of cheerleading experience and 3 years of gymnastics experience. She competed on the Irving High School gymnastics team and up to level 3 in cheerleading. Her favorite part about being a coach is working with the kids. She has completed her Gymnastics Association of Texas Certification in team levels 1-3 and is CPR and First Aid certified. In her spare time she likes to shop and sleep. Level 1 Coaching Assistant
Mia was a gymnast at IGA for over 5 years as well as participating in High School gymnastics and competing through level 5. Mia is working hard in school to graduate with her license in Cosmetology. Her favorite part about coaching is watching her gymnast grow and improve their skills. She is currently the Level 1 Coaching Assistant
Debbie developed a love for gymnastics at a young age. She continued gymnastics all through highschool competiting for Nimitz through level 6. Debbie has 3 years coaching experience and in her free time loves to sing and do Ladies Bible Studies. Debbie loves coaching team because of the competitive aspect as she is always up for a good challenge. She has completed her Gymnastics Association of Texas Certification in Team Levels 1-3 and is CPR/First Aid Certified.
Coach Bobby has over seven years experience in youth development and a background in Martial arts, dance, and free running. He is currently a Mixed Martial Artist and hopes to one day win a UFC title. He enjoies teaching the youth in every aspect of the Ninja Program. By teaching them not only the physical portion of the ninja curriculum, he guides them in learning respect, honor, disipline and humility. As the coach and Sensei of the Ninjas he loves passing on the way of the old!
Ballet & Tap Teacher
Anne-Sophie’s love of dance started at a very young age which lead to over 16 yrs of ballet, including pointe. She also danced several years of jazz, modern, improve, and tap while studying dance at Collin College. She graduated with a BAAS from UNT, with specialties in child development, sociology, and psychology. Anne-Sophie is a wife, and a mother of a little gymnast. Her favorite part of working with children is seeing how they learn and gain confidence in their skills with the proper guidance and encouragement. In her free time she loves to spend time with her family and animals.
