With over 75 years gymnastics experience between all of our coaches, Irving Gymnastics staff has a lot to offer! We love what we do, and we love sharing our lives in this special way. Here is a little about our staff so you can get to know us better.
Shelly Patrick developed a love for gymnastics at a very early age. She has been involved with the sport in some way or another for over 35 years. With a love for life and a love for kids, she makes Irving Gymnastics a special place for each child. Not only does your child leave each class more confident in her abilities in gymnastics, but Shelly also makes sure each one knows how truly special they are. In her 20 years of coaching Shelly holds several professional certifications, including Kinder Accreditation for Teachers (KAT), Pre-School Fundamentals 1 and 2, Fundamentals of Gymnastics, and Hands-On Spotting for School Age. Shelly is a USA Gymnastics Professional member in Men's and Women's artistic disciplines and holds numerous safety certifications including a USA Gymnastics Safety Certification, USA Gymnastics First Aid Basics, Red Cross First Aid and Adult/Child/Infant CPR. She is also a certified Recreational Program Director and Business Executive through USA Gymnastics. Shelly became the Director of IGA in October of 2006 and has worked very hard to make IGA a successful gymnastics program.
Miss Sarah has 15 years experience in the professional world as an office manager. She loves to see the difference we make in kids life. Watching them have fun and learning is the reason why I love my job. She is certificated by GAT (Gymnastics Association of Texas). She adores the families, love, and environment. Building relationships with the parents and children is her favorite part of working for IGA. In her free time Miss Sarah likes to go to parks with her 2 daughters. She loves to dance to all genres of music and sing karaoke. Poke your head in the office if you have any questions and she will anwser!
Working in a fun environment and wit great people is what Allison likes most about working for IGA. She has 5 years of cheerleading experience and 2 years of gymnastics experience. She competed on the Irving High School gymnastics team and up to level 3 in cheerleading. Her favorite part about being a coach is working with the kids. She is CPR and First Aid certified. In her spare time she likes to shop and sleep. Stop on by and say hi to Coach Allison!

Coach Bre participated in recreational classes the majority of her youth. She has been coaching gymnastics for the last 3 years. Her favorite part about being a coach is interacting with the kids seeing the big smiles on their faces when they learn a new skill. Coach is CPR and First-Aid certificated, Preschool and Rec Certified Fun. A fact about coach is that she won the Ms DFW Baby pageant 3 years in a row. In her free time she love to play volleyball and softball for Irving High shool. Coach Bre will be going to Stephen F. Austin in the fall to pursuit a degree in Wildlife management. Seeing the kids so excited about gymnastics class is what Bre like most about working for IGA. Stop by and say hi to Coach Bre!
Dylan has 5 years of experience 3 of which he competed at level 6. He is the only gymnast at Irving High School that competes on the high bar. "Seeing a smile on a kids face when they learn a new skill" is his favorite part of being a coach. In his free time Dylan like to practice horizontal bar and learning new gymnastics skills. What he enojys the most about working for IGA is the fun enviorment and loving children. Come on by and say hi to Coach Dylan!
Shanice is CPR certified. Her favorite part about being a coach is watching the kids grow and push them into being the best of the best. She has 4 years of previous experience. In her free time she like to explore new things, places, and foods. A fun fact she is completely in love with the color maroon. The love and energy put into the program and kids is what she loves the most about working for IGA. Stop by and say hi to Coach Shanice.
Megan has 7 years experince in teaching gymnastics, the circus and dance. She was a principal ballerina in the city of Irving. "I believe that there is no limit to learning and teaching. I learn more every day by coaching wonderful students who also realize you can never learn to much. We thrive off of each other and have such a great time" is how Megan describes her favorite part of being a coach. She is ceritifed in safety/ risk management and U101 Fundamentals of Gymnastics Instruction. Coach Megan competed USAG level 7 and TAAF level 8. Fun fact, Megan is that she has a identical twin sister, and the both of them where star preformers in a Italian circus. Playing the piano, golfing, filming/photographing weddings, and visiting her sister who is still on tour is how she likes to spend her free time. The joy of attaining new skills and learning the values of comradery and supporting each other as a team is what she likes about working for IGA. Swing by the gym to meet and greet with Coach Megan!
Renn competed up to level 7. Once she reached high school she competed optional and compulsory. She has 14 years experience as being a gymnasts and 2 years of coaching. Her favorite part of being a coach is watching the kids grow and develop in their confidence and skill levels. She is certificated in GAT (Gymnastics Association of Texas) in levels 1 through 3 and boys. Really making a difference in her students lives is what she adores about working at IGA. She has a bachelor’s degree in theatre from Southwestern University. Come in to meet Coach Renn!

Aesha competed up to level 3 in gymnastics. After level 3 she switched focus over to cheer. She was a varsity cheerleader 3 years in a row and competed 2 years on a level 5 competition cheer team. She has 14 years experience cheer and dance experience, 6 years coaching experience, and 5 years of gymnatics experince. Aesha is a DCC National Champion. Got a full ride scholarship to West Virgina University, has travled to Austria to cheer at the United World Games, and is a 3 time NCA (Nation Cheer Association) all-star cheerleader. She is certified in CPR, first-aid, and GAT (Gymnastics Association of Texas) levels 1-3. Her favorite part about being a coach is sharing her passion of the sport with the kids and watching them grow to achieve their goals. In her free time Aesha likes to spend time with her family and working out. Bringing the kids to love the sport she loves is her favorite part of working for IGA. Between coaching and competing his self; Coach Cristian has 19 years of experience. He competed levels 4, 5, 6, 7, and elite. In his free time he like to spend it hanging out and having a good time with family and friends. His favorite part of being a coach is watching the kids learn, grow, and compete the sport he loves. Fun fact about Coach Cristian is that he was a international judge also a serial prankster and jokester. The relationships with the other coaches is what Cristian loves the most about working at IGA. Cameron started tumbling at the age of 4. He has 21 years of tumbling expereince and 5 years of experince in coaching/private lessons. He reached level 5 in competiton cheer. Cameron has many passions one of which is moutain hiking. In February 2016 he climbed three mountains in one day while visiting Hawaii. In his free time he likes to sing, dance, and cook. Seeing the excitement when kids learn something new for the first time and remembering the feeling he once had is his favorite part about being a coach. Cameron is certified in adult and pediateric CPR, First-Aid, and AED. The facility, co-workers, and the kids is what he likes about working at IGA. Swing on by and say hi to Coach Cameron!
