Preschool Girls & Boys Gymnastics
As an introduction to gymnastics, Irving Gymnastics offers a range of special motor skills classes with a clear emphasis on the joy of movement. The preschool program is designed to encourage whole body exercise, including development in strength, flexibility, and coordination. Classes are structured, but not rigid. Children can channel their physical energy, while learning to socialize with other students in a safe and fun environment. Children must be potty trained.
Girls Recreational Program
Irving Gymnastics offers girls a complete range of instruction from beginning to advanced gymnastics. We provide quality instruction to those interested in recreational gymnastics, as well as those who wish to pursue competition. Our beginning level classes introduce gymnasts to the four basic womens gymnastics events: vault, uneven parallel bars, balance beam, and floor exercise. Gymnasts will develop their flexibility, posture, balance and strength, as well as their confidence.
Competitive Team Program
In addition to a full range of recreational gymnastics, Irving Gymnastics offers a competitive program for girls. Pre-Team and Team classes are designed the dedicated and talented gymnasts who wishes to pursue competition. Classes are structured around the USA Gymnastics Competitive Routines, with a strong emphasis on building the strength and flexibility required for more advanced gymnastics.
Ballet/Tap Combo Classes
Our 55-minute classes focuses on basic movement and dance skills to develop coordination, balance, musicality, timing, and flexibility. Beginning ballet and tap technique is also introduced in this class and students are taught proper technique and basic vocabulary and will even do some introductory barre work. Our combination classes are a great way for students to experience different types of activity with the main focus on having fun and enjoying dancing.
This 55 minute class introduced Hip Hop basic moves primarily performed in music videos and Street dance, or that has evolved into hip hop culture such as jazz along with my personal choreography. Beginning hip hop and Jazz terminology are introduced and students are taught endurance, spatial awareness, isolation's, musicality, while demonstrating their personal style and self discipline. Our combination classes are good for students to learn the distinct different styles with the main objective during their journey, enjoying dance and being the best version of them themselves.
Ninja Warrior Classes
Our Ninja training program will combine military style obstacle courses to develop strength and speed, gymnastics tumbling, and ‘ninja’ style moves just like what you would see in a video game or in the movies!The sport of Ninja is… “To move uninterrupted through an environment or series of obstacles with fluidity, prowess, and stealth. To use combinations of skillful spins, rolls, flips, jumps, and kicks to elude an opponent.” Our skill curriculum is comprised of a clever combination of gymnastics, martial-arts, break dancing and cross-training. Adult Contempory Dance Class
This hour long class is perfect for beginner dancers who want to experience various dance styles, for intermediate dancers who want to work on perfecting technique and explore creativity, advanced dancers are also welcome! Maybe you have experience, but haven’t danced in a while? Maybe you are looking for a safe and friendly atmosphere to dance? A place to collaborate with other dancers, and grow your creativity? Maybe you are interested in performance opportunities… then this class is ideal! The instruction in this class will focus on contemporary ballet, jazz, modern dance, yoga movement, core strengthening, cardio work, musicality, and performance quality. Barre combinations, center combinations, original choreography, and professional dance technique are just some of the fun things you will experience in our class. Join us today!
Trampoline & Tumbling
The Trampoline and Tumbling program offers a wide variety of classes designed to help your child attain his or her goals in our safe and encouraging training facility. Our Professional TNT staff will team up with your child to set and then accomplish their individual goals. Coach Chad is a highly trained past olympian with over 30 years experience not only coaching but also as a student. He is CPR and safety certified as well as certified through USA Gymnastics. His students will learn trampoline skill progressions with a relaxed approach. These classes do not have level requirements and classes are taught in age groups while building skills & Confidence.
What is Trampoline and Tumbling?
The gymnastics discipline of trampoline and tumbling, often referred to at T&T, includes competition in trampoline, synchronized trampoline, double mini-trampoline and power tumbling. Both girl and boys can participate in all four events. Whatever the event, you’re sure to see numerous high-flying skills which include multiple flips and twists combined into one “routine”. This is elite, Olympic level trampoline and tumbling at its finest.
Who is T&T for?
Trampoline and tumbling can be thrilling and exciting! Bouncing high, learning body control and developing spatial awareness are all adventures of the sport. T&T can be a well-suited activity for children and teenagers of any shape, size, coordination or fitness level. A recreational T&T class includes basic progressions promoting rapid skill acquisition and learning. These programs help beginner athletes build strength, stamina and coordination in a fun-filled, high-flying format. Once safety techniques are mastered, students can “jump” into the sport, learning more than 100 skill combinations before even considering inverted movements (e.g. flipping).
