About Us

Mission
At Irving Gymnastics, our mission is to provide inclusive programs for students of all ages focused on skill building to create strong, all-around athletes.
Through both recreational and competitive training, we help all of our gymnasts discover the fun of movement, build strength, agility, and confidence, and grow into a well-rounded, successful athlete - both in and out of the gym.
Our Story
Irving Gymnastics began over three decades ago as a co-sponsored program between the City of Irving Parks & Recreation Department and Irving ISD. For 33 years, classes were held on the campus of Irving High School, where generations of local families discovered a love for gymnastics.
In 2005, Shelly Patrick joined the program as a parent and quickly became its Director, combining her extensive background in dance and gymnastics with a passion for youth development. Under her leadership, the program flourished - serving more than 500 students and quickly outgrowing its original space.
In
2018, Shelly oversaw the construction of a brand-new,
22,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility
designed to meet the needs of both recreational and competitive gymnasts.
Just five years later, in 2023, Irving Gymnastics expanded again with the opening of our
3,500-square-foot preschool gym, Sweet Peas Gymnastics, dedicated entirely to our youngest athletes.
Today, Irving Gymnastics continues to grow and innovate - offering safe, high-quality gymnastics instruction that inspires confidence, builds lifelong fitness, and celebrates every child’s potential.
