What Is the Sweet Peas Program?

Rooted in educational gymnastics, the Sweet Peas program offers structured yet playful learning through movement. Classes are designed for ages 6 months to 5 years and focus on:

• Coordination & balance
• Core strength & flexibility
• Bilateral movement & body awareness
• Listening, turn-taking & following directions
• Social interaction & confidence building

• Color & shape recognition
• Language development
• Counting & measurements
• Music & rhythm

Each class is taught in a social, encouraging environment where every child is celebrated. Our coaches meet each child where they are, allowing for flexibility, pacing, and progress unique to their developmental stage.

Specialty Sweet Peas Classes

Tumbling Peas (Ages 5–6)

Perfect for aspiring cheerleaders or dancers, our Tumbling Peas class focuses on introductory tumbling and acro skills such as:

• Rolls
• Handstands
• Bridges
• Cartwheels
• Trampoline skills

Students learn timing, strength, and body control as they prepare for more advanced tumbling. Once they complete a tumbling pass, they can level up to Tumble I or II at Irving Gymnastics.

Dancing Peas (Ages 3–5)

Little dancers learn to move with grace and rhythm through a creative combination of:

• Basic ballet technique & vocabulary
• Stretching & flexibility
• Locomotor movement
• Tap basics & rhythm skills
• Free movement & musicality

This class improves coordination and body awareness in a fun, structured setting using ballet barres, center floor work, and traveling exercises. A wonderful introduction to both dance and classroom structure!
